Episode 19 Birds of a Feather Aired:
November 6, 1992
At their club house, Starlight calls the meeting and wants to know if anyone has any news. Bright Eyes does and she talks about the Green-Winged Songbird, which hasn't been seen for years and no one seems to know why so the gang and Ace decide to look for it. They find an area of uncharted territory on their map and Ace uses his "excellent sense of direction" to find it but all they find is  a strange rock and bees, which chase after them as the gang leaves. They discover that the bees are after Bon Bon's hat and Bon Bon tosses the hat away and it was her favorite hat too!
Bon Bon decides to sit and wait until the group knows where they are and Bright Eyes says Bon Bon is in (nettles? I can't quite hear what Bright Eyes says there). Ace uses his pony scout manual to find the remedy for the itching and it works. Ace suggests they climb the tree to see where they are. Bon Bon announces she's out of food and Ace can't understand how one can eat a week's worth of food in one afternoon. Bon Bon was hungry of course! Bright Eyes tells about pioneer ponies who ate fish and the gang set up a fishing rod and bait(being Bon Bon's super emergency candy bar). They get a bite but the combined weight of the 3 ponies snaps off the branch and the trio fall into the stream.
Bon Bon decides to rescue them and by sheer luck they find the fish in Ace's survival kit but it spits water in Ace's face but they decide not to eat the fish and return him to the stream. Bon Bon writes her farewell in her diary when a Green-Winged Songbird flies in front of her. The bird shows them a tree hole where several babies are nested. One of the ponies begins singing about sounds in the forest. When the song ends, the group is distraught to see much of the old forest cut down. The group decide to help the birds out but must find their way home. To do this, Bon Bon reads what she wrote for the entire trip. When they finally make it back, the Ponyville mayor makes the forest a protected wildlife area and gives each of the group members a pony of the month award.
