Episode 15 Princess Problems Aired:
October 9, 1992
Just outside, some orphan ponies chatter while Melody and the gang survey the new playground for the orphans. One of the orphan ponies asks if it's finished and Patch tells them it is and they all rush in and begin playing. Melody can't believe Patch used to be here until her parents adopted her. Path remarks to one of the orphans that it's the best rainbow she's ever seen (I must admit this is true). Someone else (it's not clear who) says to look out the open gate to see 2 ponies and a carriage going by. Only a princess or queen would get that kind of treatment!
There's a sudden crash as we see one of the orphan ponies knocked down a cart of.....something. A drop of red paint lands on Patch's hoof. The gang decide to invite the orphans to the Ice Cream Shop but Rosey won't come until she's finished painting the rainbow on the gate. At the ICS(Ice Cream Shop for short), Starlight announces that the king and queen are looking for their lost daughter and Melody says it'd be awesome to be a princess (she technically was, or at least was acting like one in "The Play's the Thing").

Starlight goes through the story and description of the lost king and queen's child and are astonished to find that Patch fits the description. Patch says it can't be true (and would be a mere coincidence to me since most of those details can be found on any pony so Patch has a right to be skeptical here). Patch then thinks that maybe she IS a princess after all and they all race over to Patch's house to prep Patch but Patch struggles to find anything useful so the rest of the gang help in the form of a song. When the song ends, Patch isn't quite sure this is "her" but if she can't trust them who can she trust? Rose notices that her hair dye is coming out but decides to take it out anyway and apparently her hair color is very similar if not exactly the same as Patch's. Patch meanwhile decides to go help her dad but is stopped and is told by Melody that a princess can't do something so ordinary.
At the king and queen's house, Melody sees that no one can come close to the princess. Finally it's Patch's turn but she's not interested in being a princess but finds that the mark comes off and they see that Rosey might be the new princess but by the time they show up, the king and queen have left. Patch manages to aim just right with some dirt in the carriage and the parents angrily demand to know what's going on. Patch presents Rosey as the new princess and indeed she is. Patch and Sweetheart love happy endings.
