Episode 10 Shop Talk Aired:
September 4, 1992
Inside the Ice Cream Shop, Starlight's mother is talking with a customer about a story she was sharing. Starlight and Sweetheart giggle when they hear about the roof being ripped off of Mrs. Neilbush's (sp?) house and her clothing removed in the wind but are reminded by Starlight's mother that they have ice cream sundaes to make. When they finish, they discretely continue listening in.
Starlight's mother and customer leave to go pick out an outfit and Starlight asks about doing her friends' manes. Her mother agrees but asks to have it cleaned up when finished. While getting their hair done, the gang tell stories that they've heard in the form of song. Afterwards, Patch announces that Sweetheart hasn't told a story but when she does, it's not impressive. Patch makes up her own story about Teddy but discovers by a mere fluke that it's true about Teddy having a teddy bear. Ace overhears and despite Sweetheart's plead not to tell, Ace darts off.

Meanwhile, Teddy and Lancer are playing soccer, or at least scoring goals and Teddy ridicules Lancer about being a lame goalie.
Ace arrives to defend Lancer, announcing Teddy's possession of a teddy bear, which not only aggravates Teddy into tackling both Ace and Lancer but leaves Ace and Lancer rolling on the grass in laughter. Back at home, Teddy chooses to remain alone in his room with his teddy bear when his mother says Sweetheart is here. Outside, Teddy yells angrily at Sweetheart for spilling his secret (which she really didn't, it was found out by a fluke).
Teddy's so mad he could kick something and ends up kicking a tree and getting covered by falling apples but Sweetheart finds this funny and Teddy declares her not his friend either. Sweetheart realizes her mistake and at the ice cream shop, suggests to have Ace and Lancer babysit. Speaking of those two, they're scoring goals and are shocked to see Melody and Bright-Eyes watching.

Melody and Bright-Eyes announce their "dangerous" mission to Ace and Lancer, who are baffled to see that they have to babysit.  It ends up being partially dangerous, at least to Melody, when one of the ponies teeters on the edge of a rocking chair but ends up in Lancer's arms. Just when the two start getting the hang of babysitting, Bright-Eyes tells them it's feeding time for the baby ponies and instructs that to feed a baby pony they have to act like one or it can't be done. Ace and Lancer ridicule each other for their respective other's appearance and end up drinking their milk along with the baby ponies.
Ace and Lancer realize that if anyone found out, their reputation would be ruined but neither decide to tell and Sweetheart says she wouldn't tell either, snapping a photo of the two of them to Teddy's delight. Ace and Lancer never really believed Teddy had a teddy bear and agree not to bring up the subject again. Teddy, Ace and Lancer decide to go shoot some soccer goals with Teddy as the goalie. Later that night, Teddy tells his teddy bear that someday it might want to be with Sweetheart as she'd be the kind of girl it'd really get to like.
