My Little Pony Tales Episode 11 Summary

Episode 11	The Impractical Joker	Aired: September 11, 1992
At someone's house, Melody and Patch are watching PTV as Dazzle announces that tomorrow's the big day for the winner to be with the lead singer of the Cleveland Bays and Melody is all over it. She LOVES the lead singer. The doorbell rings and Melody thinks it might be the CB's lead singer but it's Bon Bon, who announces that the Cooking with Cookies baking show wants Bon Bon to send in a video of her baking something. Patch offers to do the video instead. At school, Ms Hackney goes over Isosceles triangles when the clock chimes 3 PM and the class leaves as she reminds them term projects are due on Monday. The phone rings and Melody quickly answers it, then screams when she hears it's the lead singer of the CBs, or so she thinks as we see it's actually Patch on the other line, telling Melody to meet at the clock tower by 6PM. Meanwhile, Patch and Bon Bon work on the tape to send in and Bon Bon struggles to make her Lemon Meringue pie, which is burnt after being in the oven too long. Elsewhere, Melody realizes she'll be late and races up the long flight of stairs in the clock tower. When she reaches the top, she's surprised to see Starlight, and later Sweetheart, both claiming to have also won the contest. Patch comes out, laughing as she had gotten all 3 of them in a practical joke. but the other 3 aren't happy about it. At the schoolhouse the next day, Ms Hackney congratulates the class on an excellent batch of term projects and asks Bright-Eyes to be first. Bright-Eyes turns on the TV and while her voice is heard, it's Bon Bon's video that is shown, making the rest of the class except Bon Bon giggle. Ms Hackney, not pleased with the "excellent term project" orders Bright-Eyes to turn off the TV and wants to know what's going on. Bright-Eyes hasn't a clue until Patch once again mentions her involvement in a practical joke. Later at the Ice Cream Shop, Melody says Patch must be stopped and Bon Bon adds she needs a taste of her own medicine (which of course isn't the best idea since you BECOME what you tried to stop in the first place). Bright-Eyes knows how to do it and they put their plan into action as Patch walks by. Patch finds what looks to be a sign or something (video quality is poor and probably was even at the time this aired), then finds a stick and puts it through the hole. Everyone else thinks they got Patch but Patch is a pro. She loves practical jokes and sings about it. Afterwards, what she thinks is a UFO flies by and she investigates it. "Aliens" pop out and greet Patch, then invite her on board. They tell Patch they want her brain but Patch tries to convince them she's not that smart but falls into a bucket of (water? Again poor video quality strikes again). Patch isn't laughing this time. Can't she take a joke? The rest of the gang explain how they pulled it off. Patch says it's impressive, for beginners, then conjures up what she has in mind for making it better for using on other people.
