Episode 8 Out of Luck Aired:
August 21, 1992
Outside, Clover's dad is looking for something but hasn't a clue what that is until he finds it. He DOES find a bent bike wheel and figures it might come in handy. Clover finds a teapot and brings it to the gang's clubhouse, saying it'd be a great symbol for their club. Bright-Eyes mentions the story of Aladdin and the others are amazed that this could be a magic teapot (though a teapot and a lamp are similar but NOT the same). They ask Clover to make a wish, which is a jillion jangles (must be their currency like our US dollars) and a clap of thunder breaks the conversation as Sweetheart says it's coming true but Starlight mentions it's just rain.
Melody hoped they'd be rich not wet! The roof workers request another bucket of the glue, which makes it up, then falls on Clover, who goes home and takes a bath, singing about her good ol' days. Unfortunately, her luck isn't getting any better as her bathtub overflows. Her mother enters, ordering for Clover to clean up the mess then head to her room. Later, Clover sleeps, then awakens, accusing the teapot of her bad luck and throws it away.  As Clover darts off, the trash truck arrives and its driver finds the teapot and figures it wasn't meant to be thrown away. Clover's mother says it belongs to Clover, whom to her will feel very happy to see it again.

Clover does come home from school, disappointed to see the teapot. Her mother doesn't understand why, since it is a perfectly good teapot. Clover explains her dilemma with the teapot and her mother asks how school was, then seeing Clover's unhappy state, demands to know what happened. Clover hands her mom a note from Ms Hackney, telling about Clover not doing her homework but Clover blames the teapot for everything but is grounded by her mother for the rest of the day. Clover starts doing her homework but still cannot concentrate so she tries everything to hide the teapot but it doesn't work so she instead throws it in the lake.
The next day, Clover is working on some kind of contraption that fires cucumber slices while her mother is making something else (equally unknown to me). Her mother says Clover can put in the cucumber and Clover activates the "cucumber gun" but she cannot control it properly and ends up firing slices of cucumber all over, including at her father, who reminds her that he's on her side, then answers the door.
The guy in the boat from Paradise Lake mentions that the teapot probably belongs to Clover, which it does. Clover is horrified to see the teapot again but her father is unhappy that Clover had thrown it away for not liking it as they have to protect the environment and sends Clover to her room. (Well that's pretty much the opposite of what we're doing now as you'll see trash all over the place despite this "Going Green" thing that's supposed to correct this but failing miserably and a teapot in that good of shape won't do a thing anyway.)

Clover arrives in the basement where her father is finishing his sculpture for the show. Her father mentions that luck is nothing but hard work and being at the right place at the right time. (I'm not so sure about that first part since you can call a coin toss with luck but that doesn't take much work at all). He then figures the teapot is just what he needs for his sculpture and welds it in place despite Clover's constant begging not to.
At the show, Patch sees Clover's teapot and Clover mentions that it's been haunting her. The "judge" comes over and inspects Clover's father's latest creation and is impressed. Bon Bon sneaks a cookie from the waiter/waitress. Clover's father and the "judge" decide to discuss the price and Clover is amazed that the sculpture is going to be bought but her mother says its probably due to the sculpture being good not a lucky teapot. Sometimes it's good to be lucky.
