Episode 29 | The Return of Tambelon (Part 2) | Aired: October 21, 1986 |
That night, Bre reports to Grogar that nearly all
ponies are in the dungeon but Grogar isn't satisfied and wants all of
them there by nightfall but is intigued by the humans as they have hands
like the Troggles. They need hands to serve them and orders Brey to go.
Meanwhile, what ponies remain have come together and realized not just
unicorns have been captured. Furthermore, even Grundles are being
captured as those that are left has been looking all over (and under)
for them. Megan proposes first figuring out how to rescue the others and
the Grundles initiate their plan to dig their way but it's no good so
they report back. The Bushwoolies also have an idea to sneak in as tumbleweeds. However, their plan doesn't get far either as the Troggles mistake them for actual tumbleweeds and proceed to use them as target practice. The Bushwoolies roll back to the others empty handed. Danny gets an idea to have someone go in using a method the rest of them can't and Megan decides to do so with Lofty. The duo take to the skies and make it inside without a hitch. Meanwhile, the trapped ponies find a brick that can be removed and push it out of the way. Not all of them like the path they see and Galaxy, Heart Throb and Magic Star agree to explore it first and leave the others where they are. The trio head out and eventually reuinite with Megan and Lofty but all Heart Throb can think of is her hair. Regardless, Megan says to get the others and they'll be led to the gates in return. Back outside, Molly hopes they're alright but Morning Glory's Wind Whistler-like dialogue leaves Lickety Split confused. Regardless, Morning Glory takes to the skies as Galaxy, Heart Throb and Magic Star lead the way out for the others. They get out of the manhole cover and make their escape but end up right in the sight of Bre and the Troggles and run away with Brey and the Troggles giving chase. However, Gusty, Fizzy and the Bushwoolies fight back with bubbles and their own brute force respectively and knock the Troggles far back. Outnumbered, Bre brings the news to Grogar just as the others are approaching the gate. The guards are overpowered but the gate doesn't seem budge, even with all of them pushing together. As the gate strains under the pressure, Grogar arrives and imprisons them with his own powers. Morning Glory is the only one left and manages to slip past Grogar's attacks and flies off to get help. It's back to the dungeon for the ponies but if Bre lets it happen again, he joins them. Morning Glory reports back and Danny has no ideas but they have to figure something out before Grogar rules Ponyland. |
