Episode 19 | The Glass Princess (Part 4) | Aired: October 9, 1986 |
Megan's group continues moving through the tunnels
with Molly and Shady tagging not far behind. However, the dogbirds are
coming so both groups decide to hide and try being quiet. They remain
quiet long enough to pick up the dogbirds' evil plan and proceed once
the trio pass by. They make their way to the hole in the wall made
earlier and find the mirror that shows Ponyland now turned into glass.
They can't gawk very long as the dogbirds are coming and the group hides
behind some mirrors, unable to think of what to do next. When the dogbirds leave, Molly and Shady reunite with the others and learn what they're doing here. Furthermore, Shady has done some thinking and concludes using Bushwoolies' shedded hair to make a fake cloak and swap it with the real one to finally perhaps restore Ponyland to normal. A fake one is created and they had to Porcina's room to make the exchange. However, Porcina is sleeping and grabbing the cloak proves to be difficult so Megan decides to use Gusty, Molly and Shady to help. Gusty nearly sneezes but its stopped and the fake one is laid down. However, Gusty sneezes out the torch and when they get it relit, none of them can identify the real one from the fake. The dogbirds are coming so the group rushes to find a place to hide and Megan grabs what she hopes is the real cloak and hides as well. The dogbirds awaken Porcina but she doesn't like having them give the orders on her even though they bring up that the ponies have escaped. Worse still, Gusty's next sneeze blows their cover but Porcina is unable to turn them into glass. In fact, she doesn't feel she has the right since they're living animals like she is. One of the dogbirds questions this and removes the cloak from Porcina's neck to do it himself. However, nothing happens and they realize they have the fake. A tug-of-war ensues that ends up tearing the cloak in half and releases the spell but it reflects off a mirror and ends up on the dogbirds, turning them into glass. It's clear to Porcina that the dogbirds only cared about themselves and she's willing to help make things right and lead the way back to Ponyland. When they arrive, Porcina makes things right and the Bushwoolies ask if she'd like to join them underground. Porcina accepts and heads off with the Bushwoolies as Megan and the others say their goodbyes. |
