Episode 18 The Glass Princess (Part 3) Aired:
October 8, 1986
The dogbirds get to work and the pony trio can't watch but prove they have more magical powers than realized as their hair grows back the instant it's cut (now wouldn't that be nice for cancer patients or anyone else growing bald?). Perhaps the three ponies won't ever be leaving now and the dogbirds head off with their stash of hair. Do Megan and the others realize they're missing? Gusty left her headband at the entrance but that still doesn't guarantee they'll be found. The trio are taken to see Porcina, whom gloats about everyone seeing her beauty but Gusty's sneeze gives the dogbirds something to laugh about.
The mood gets more serious as the dogbirds bring Gusty, Lickety Split and Heart Throb to the sewing machines to bring out the material using their hooves. While one of the dogbirds takes the green half of Gusty's hair and gets it in motion, Megan helps the Bushwoolies remember where the other entrance is and they head inside with the ponies leading the way. Feet away, Molly wants to follow based on what she thought the plan was but Shady gets her to stay and be emergency backup with her.

Megan's group arrives at one of two paths and overrides the Bushwoolies' decision while Molly and Shady tag along secretly. Back inside, the three ponies sing their sorrows while the dogbirds sing their joys in the same song. When it's over the cloak is done and the dogbirds take it to Porcina while the ponies continue working. They aren't alone as we see Megan's group peering through a hole in the wall but it's too narrow for most of the group to see. As a result, they break through the glass wall and Gusty realizes they did find her headband afterall.
As Megan frees the ponies, the ponies fill in the details of their story and clear up any confusion. While they formulate a plan, Porcina recieves her cloak and loves it but is reminded of what the best test of her new cloak would be, Ponyland. After some tense seconds of nothing happening, all but the ponies become glass and one of the dogbirds suggests having the ponies be glass too. Since it's not in her memory, Porcina looks it up in her spellbook and quickly makes it happen before deciding to take a nap. With Porcina's seat unoccupied, the dogbirds fight over whom gets the seat but pave way to their leader as they're now in control of Ponyland and its ponies.
