Episode 9: The End of Flutter Valley (9) |
The Furbob is frozen with fear as Bumble and her
henchbees approach but he's dragged into the hole before he can get
caught, leaving the bees to surround the hole. Inside the hole, the
ponies are tucked in a cave of sorts and decide to plug up the hole.
Regardless, Bumble orders Pointer to head down and won't listen to his
protest. However, Pointer manages to convince Bumble to go down first,
though it proves to be too narrow for her to fit through and Pointer
pulls her out before getting an angry look from Bumble. Back in the hole, Megan wants the Furbob to see that the Stonebacks are its friend but it refuses so Megan uses a song to show how to imagine the Stonebacks were friends with the Furbobs. When the song is over, The Furbob figures it's a good idea but must see if the other Furbobs are willing to do the same. First they must get the Sunstone back to Flutter Valley and since it's too hot to handle, the Flutter Ponies decide to use Utter Flutter to cool it down. Even Sting joins in and the Furbob confirms that the Sunstone is cool enough to the touch. They need to know which way to Flutter Valley and the Stonebacks lead the way out. Back in Bumbleland, Bumble is so angry that they don't have the Sunstone that she takes out a tree and decides to make a plan to go to Flutter Valley to retrieve it. The Stonebacks dig the way out and the group follow the patch but the Furbob notes that the witches have taken over Flutter Valley and figures his friends can help. While Sting gets the Furbob to Furbobia, the others resume the journey to Flutter Valley. Inside Flutter Valley, Draggle is doing laps with a book on her head and still has one more lap to go since it's her fault the ponies nearly escaped. However, Draggle is first to see the return of the Flutter Ponies and while Gusty thinks there's still time to save Flutter Valley, it's nearly sunset and Hydia thinks there's no time to save anything. In an attempt to stop the Flutter Ponies, Hydia tells Augh to guard the entrance and prevent anyone from getting in (though how would you stop someone much shorter than Augh?). Hydia is fully aware of what happened last time so she calls Augh back to have a special drink. Augh returns to the entrance just as the Flutter Ponies arrive. With the Sunstone too heavy to carry while they fly, Megan suggests the same strategy that worked on Augh before, tickling him. However, it has no effect this time and leaves Megan puzzled. It's nearly sunset and they don't have any more ideas on how to get past Augh. |
