Episode 163 A Health of Information Aired:
September 23 2017
We find Zecora helping Fluttershy gather some green muck from the pond but it proves to be not enough for Fluttershy's liking and Zecora ends up in the pond.  However, on her way back to shore, Zecora gets hit by the mist of a nearby mystery flower and ends up with spots on her body when she gets out. In fact, it's making Zecora sick and that has Fluttershy very worried. They visit the doctor and find that Zecora's condition is directly related to a very rare disease called Swamp Fever that has no known cure or much info on it in general.
Fluttershy is in regret and doesn't accept Zecora's assurance that it's not her fault. Luckily, Zecora knows of a pony that was known for curing sick ponies but only from legend. It's a pony Fluttershy had learned previously and one Zecora feels is real based on the number of eyewitness accounts (though one needs more than eyewitnesses to prove somthing as real).  Fluttershy just needs to find her and goes to see Twilight at her castle. However, Twilight is nowhere to be found until Fluttershy finds her with Spike in the kitchen in the midst of a baking contest and ends up being a judge for the contest.
Fluttershy judges them equally before sharing the dilemma regarding Zecora and Swamp Fever, then rushes Twilight out of the room, leaving Spike to contemplate the results of the contest. The search for info on the Mystical Mask is underway and yielding no results. Fluttershy suggests they look through the rest of the library's books but even that has no answers and has worked Twilight to the point where she sleeps. Fluttershy unwittingly wakes her up and isn't willing to rest until they find a cure for Swamp Fever.
With that, Twilight heads off with word from Fluttershy that she'll be sleeping soon. However, some time later, Fluttershy bursts into the room with news that she's found out about the Mystery Mask using some of the books and translations of Old Ponyish into English. Twilight shares in the excitement as she studied Mage Meadowbrook at Celestia's school. It's all the more reason for Fluttershy to start the journey right away despite not getting any sleep. Fluttershy packed some breakfast and off they go to see Zecora, whom is already bedridden, no longer rhyming (kind of like two of my fanfic episodes, only without any disease) and feeling worse than ever before.
The duo head out and arrive at a desolate village without a clue where Mage Meadowbrook lived. However, FLuttershy recognizes a tree directly ahead and realizes it must be someone from the illustration (and Twilight, you're a little biased with your statement, given you lived in a tree). With the door seemingly locked, Fluttershy decides to dig her way in but Twilight notes that there's a handle on the door and they open it before heading inside. They find the place seemingly uninhabited, perhaps even for years but with the same lilypad that gave Zecora Swamp Fever before them, Fluttershy speculates that Mage Meadowbrook may have found a cure.
A squeak breaks their concentration but it's not from Fluttershy, it's from a creaky rocking chair owned by a pony that comes out from the shadows named Cattail. Cattail explains he's not much of a cleaner and suspects Mage wasn't either but is in fact related to her. Cattail suspects Mage may have found the cure they're looking for and takes them to a bookshelf (which is really what it is given a library is generally much bigger). They bring the books on the shelf over to a table and sift through them without much luck until Fluttershy finds an entry that indicates a possible lead (and we get a glimpse into Mage's past).
Unfortunately, the tale doesn't explain how Mage got the Flashbees' honey but there's a bigger problem as Fluttershy has caught Swamp Fever too. Fluttershy panics and covers Twilight and Cattails' faces with a mask, fearing they could get sick too but Fluttershy needs her rest. Regardless, Fluttershy gets the two of them to join her but even they have doubts when they arrive at the hive. Following the hoofsteps of Mage Meadowbrook, Fluttershy makes her way to the hive, though it proves much more difficult since she's sick.
Unfortunately, her request for the honey is denied and she ends up stung multiple times, leaving her to faint and fall from the tree. When she comes to, she's in bed after 3 days' rest and learns what happened to both herself and Zecora. Fluttershy can't stand to be in bed any longer but Twilight and Cattail tried many ways to get the honey without success. However, Fluttershy gets an idea when a Flashbee lands on the mask and licks it. When they return to the hive, Fluttershy explains the link between the mask's design and the queen Flashbee's stripes, allowing them a way to get the honey.
Fluttershy successfully gains access to the honey and uses it to cure Zecora after curing herself. Fluttershy still has regrets but Zecora notes how much Fluttershy has learned from her journey but the doctor comes in with Swamp Fever, hoping they have the cure and luckily, they do.
