Episode 160	To Change a Changeling	Aired: September 2 2017
Starlight and Trixie have embarked on a journey to the Changeling's hive and have arrived to where they can see it but it's still too far away for Trixie's liking. Regardless, Trixie can't pass up an opportunity to gloat when Starlight asks how thrilled Thorax will likely be with their surprise visit.  However, when bringing up a Moleworth, supposedly three halves of animal, Trixie isn't buying it as she also claims to be unscarable. Contrary to her claim, Trixie scares easily when a changeling appears with a hissy greeting. Try as she might, Starlight is unable to subdue the changeling or even keep it from approaching and Trixie is no better, leaving them to get captured and taken to Thorax.  Thorax is indeed surprised and assures the changeling (revealed as Pharynx) that there's nothing to fear. Pharynx much prefered the old days and walks off, leaving Starlight and Trixie to explain to Thorax their place of business at the hive but Thorax notes that he was succesful in convering all but one changeling over to being nice. In fact, Pharynx is also Thorax's brother and the changeling yet-to-be-converted. While Pharynx continues his scaring spree, Thorax shows Trixie and Starlight the rest of the hive, where we see plenty of other changelings and learn of the other events taking place. Additionally, Thorax reveals that Pharynx used to be head of Patrol but now makes life miserable for others since everyone else is good now. With Starlight and Trixie having been in the same situation as Pharynx, Starlight suggests they help out but Trixie takes longer to accept. With Thorax about to head off to lead the Moleworth away, Starlight and Trixie nervously assure they'll handle Pharynx as he tears apart vines growing over rocks. Starlight puts her plan into action, completely ignoring Trixie's idea but Pharynx is not willing to cooperate, at least not until Starlight brings up her past with her village. However, once he learns they're good now, Pharynx wants no part of either of them and walks off, leaving them with a threat. Thorax arrives in time to report how things are going on his end and learns that things aren't going so well with Pharynx on their end. With that, they head to the hive's Feelings Forum where the changelings share what's bothering them at the moment. Things are going smootly until Pharynx is brought up and that leads everyone to get angry about what Pharynx had done. Speaking of him, Pharynx arrives and has his own thoughts to share, which eventually leads to a feud among the changelings that not even their organizer can keep down and ends up ending the Feelings Forum for the day. It's enough proof for Starlight to conclude that Pharynx may not be able to be converted, something Twilight probably wouldn't have agreed with. Trixie agrees and the duo consider having to tell Thorax to kick Pharynx out of the hive.  However, Pharynx was listening descretely while posing as a rock formation and isn't happy with what he's heard as the duo walk away. The duo tentatively bring their decision to Thorax, whom adds that changelings have pretty well always been the way Pharynx has been and we see a bit of his past with the others. Trixie was touched by the story until the very end and Thorax is still convinced Pharynx loves him in his own way. Starlight aborts her decision to tell Thoax the news and takes Trixie away to start a new plan that involves solving both problems at once. Trixie finds it easier than anticipated to get Pharynx and is back before Starlight has finished luring the Moleworth toward them. Unfortunately, Pharynx isn't with Trixie as Trixie learned Pharynx had left for good, which leaves nothing to defend them from the Moleworth when it arrives. They break the news to Thorax and Trixie has learned the reaction routine enough to predict what they'll do when they  hear the news (as can anyone else). With that, Thorax gets ready to depart with Starlight and Trixie tagging along. Since none of the other changelings are bold enough to join them, Starlight gives them a speech in hopes of changing their minds.  Unfortunately, it doesn't work, leaving them to face the prospect of fighting the Moleworth by themselves. Luckily, Pharynx is doing that instead and not having any luck. Worse still, the three of them aren't fairing any better. Pharynx meant he could only take it down with the rest of the swarm and not on his own, but the others have changed their minds to join the fight but aren't having any better luck until Trixie gives Pharynx an idea, using the memory of making Thorax hit himself. Eventually, the Moleworth retreats below ground, leaving the group to cheer. Pharynx had come out to indeed leave the hive, feeling like he had no place there despite having a love for it. However, the others see otherwise as Pharynx is the only one to help them defend against future attacks and they want him to stay. Pharynx loves the hive and undergoes the long-awaited transformation before reminding Starlight of her previous conclusion. It wasn't a lost cause after all and despite the near-disaster-of-a-plan Starlight concocted, it worked out and Pharynx decides to share the story of how he made Thorax hit himself.
