Episode 154 Not Asking for Trouble Aired:
June 17 2017
In Ponyville, Pinkie Pie is too exited to contain herself and gets the attention of everyone she passes by. Finally, she reaches Twilight's castle and presents the reason for her excitement as the rest of the Mane Six arrive. It's invitation from the yaks of Yakyakistan to their Yicksloverfest (I don't even know if I spelled or heard that correctly) and it's all thanks to Pinkie Pie constantly requesting the leader to invite her. The others give each other looks of bewilderment while Pinkie Pie remains full of excitement.
Since they still don't know much about the yaks, Twilight makes it all the more clear that Pinkie Pie should go and isn't entirely thrilled about making Pinkie Pie's title official but makes it official anyway. With that, Pinkie Pie sets off with Gummy by her side and is unable to get him to play the game she has in mind. They arrive as more clouds fill the sky, leaving it to appear darker but find the yaks appearing to be much more destructive than usual. Luckily, it's all part of the holiday festivaties so Pinkie Pie joins in and learns of their sense of humor.
When the stomping ends, Prince Rutherford decides to take Pinkie Pie on a tour of Yakyakistan despite Pinkie Pie's previous knowledge of the town and Pinkie Pie plays along anyway, throwing sarcastic remarks at each location. Next on the list of festivities is storytelling and Pinkie Pie gets in a short conversation with Rutherford before it's back to stomping once more. Unfortunately, the stomping is too much and causes an avalanche to fall into the village, leaving the residents buried in the snow. Rutherford assures things are fine and the group get to digging.

However, their progress proves difficult as they're tired out and haven't gotten very far out. Rutherford orders them to keep digging and in turn release the rest of the snow on the mountain, leaving them back where they started. Pinkie Pie wants to get the others in Ponyville to help out but Prince Rutherford instead decides they wait for all the snow to melt. That still leaves Pinkie to wonder where they'll sleep and what they'll eat but Rutherford says they'll make it work and should Pinkie Pie refuse, she can leave for good.
Pinkie Pie agrees to help out and gets the recipes made from the snow. When Prince Rutherford is tired, they hit the sleeping hut for the night and sleep on snow beds, much to Pinkie Pie's dismay. Later, it's time for their makeshift music hut but without the music so Pinkie Pie joins in briefly before exiting to find two younger yaks wanting food. It's all the proof Pinkie Pie needs to realize their survival plan will not succeed. With that, she brings the yaks together to tell a story, hoping the moral will swing Prince Rutherford's decision to allow for help.
The story is met with applause but Prince Rutherford maintains they don't need help at all and has the wrong moral for the story. Feeling desperate, Pinkie Pie tries again to convince Prince Rutherford to accept help from Ponyville by using a lie regarding the snow recipes the residents enjoy so much. Prince Rutherford is confused but brings up his own story regarding his own situation in the past. It has Pinkie Pie with more questions than answers, which makes Prince Rutherford angry and refusing to accept help from others.
Worse still, he revokes Pinkie Pie's status as honorary yak and slams the invisible door in her face. With that, Pinkie Pie storms off and makes the return trip to Ponyville. While the yaks decide on their new food for dinner, Pinkie Pie breaks the news to the others.  The others have their own suggestions but Pinkie Pie rejects them based on her experience. Instead, the group agrees to help out with the yaks' food issue and arrives by nightfall. With Rainbow Dash's help, they get inside while the yaks are sleeping.
The ponies finish by dawn and are on their way out by the time the yaks awaken, leaving the other yaks to believe their way was correct. Unfortunately, Pinkie Pie is late to leave and Prince Rutherford catches her just as she exits and before the others can set off. Despite Prince Rutherford's anger, he's happy to have Pinkie Pie and the others and reinstates her as an honorary yak with her own horn helmet. Just as Prince Rutherford had stated, it proves to be too heavy for Pinkie Pie and she loses her balence after throwing a little humor Applejack's way.
