Episode 149 Forever Filly Aired:
May 13 2017
At Rarity's Canterlot Boutique, Rarity remains calm and collected while Sassy Saddles races around the room to get things ready. Not even Rarity's specialized term for the transition to Spring clothing is enough to keep Sassy Saddles relaxed for very long.  However, additional worries are put at ease as Rarity has done most of the work and the seemingly empty space where an important box of accessories would go is filled quickly thanks to the arrival of the replacement.
Just when Sassy Saddles asks about the next design, Rarity has already finished drawing it and it gets much approval.  With that, Rarity makes a request for Sassy Saddles, whom is more than happy to fulfill it, then finds an old photo of her with Sweetie Belle, remembering the good old times.  In fact, Rarity misses Sweetie Belle to the point of tears as it'd been far too long since she'd seen her. Sassy Saddles return with a mention of their lack of satin but Rarity has been brought to more than tears, leaving her to believe something she said is the cause.
Rarity gets out her scrapbook and shares memories the photos tell with Sassy Saddles. It's clear to Sassy Saddles that Rarity should visit Sweetie Belle but Rarity finds the idea impossible given her store openings. Sassy Saddles reminds Rarity that most of the work is already done and she can take care of the rest herself. With a photo as proof, Rarity agrees to see Sweetie Belle and darts off with excitement. Meanwhile, the Cutie Mark Crusaders are sledding on a block of marble and barring a messed up hairdo, end up just in the right place to help a friend out at the bottom of the hill.
The other pony is Chip Cutter, whom has already made his own miniature sculpture (out of a sandwich as it turns out) but is unsure that he has what it takes to do the same to marble.  It was just as Chip Cutter had said, he can't help it with his lunch despite getting in trouble. Now it's time to take that talent to the marble.  After a bit of thinking, Chip Cutter gets to work and successfully makes a statue of the CMCs themselves, getting his cutie mark to boot. With a job well done, the trio head back to their clubhouse to take in their success, then discuss Zipperwill, their next pony in need.
Zipperwill arrives just as Sweetie Belle predicts and explains her situation (and apparently she was in Filli Vanilli with her puppy but I never noticed it). The CMCs agree to help and assure it'll get done but Rarity barges in and unwittingly shoves Zipperwill aside to hug Sweetie Belle tightly. Unfortunately, Sweetie Belle isn't willing to abort the task with Zipperwill so easily, even after Scootaloo and Apple Bloom assure they'll take care of the situation. With Rarity's compliments on their professionalism and assurance from her comrades, Sweetie Belle agrees to go with Rarity for the day.
With that, the duo head off to a puppet show and relax on the lawn. However, Sweetie Belle isn't amused at all but even mentioning that liking the event was only in the past, Rarity doesn't listen. On the other side of the bushes, Zipperwill drags her "puppy" to showcase the problem but this has Apple Bloom and Scootaloo puzzled given the size of the animal. Back at the puppet show, it's come for what was once Sweetie Belle's favorite and the duo have to force themselves to laugh just to make each other happy.
With the puppet show over, it's off to the next place and Rarity makes sure Sweetie Belle is blindfolded until they get inside. Once the blindfold is removed, Sweetie Belle has no memory of being there before until Rarity reminds her, though as before, Sweetie Belle does not share the excitement. Furthermore, Rarity had gotten the original owner to come out of retirement and make what is now revealed as a microscopic dessert (I'd bet a penny is bigger).  Sweetie Belle hesitantly eats it but isn't full yet and doesn't want another sundae of that size until Rarity convinces her otherwise.
Outside, Apple Bloom, Scootaloo and Zipperwill are having no luck getting Ripley to participate.  Feet away, Sweetie Belle and Rarity await the long line to get a special balloon bouquet but it doesn't make Sweetie Belle feel any better.  Across the bridge, there's still no progress on getting the dog to listen to Zipperwill. In fact, the dog has found a squirrel to bark at. It's enough for Sweeetie Belle to head over and assess the situation with her friends and Rarity reluctantly approves.
Sweetie Belle breaks the news with her friends but doesn't know why it's happening in such a manner. Similarly, Scootaloo and the others haven't been having better luck but Sweetie Belle is only able to notice that the puppy is rather large before being called back into the line for her balloon bouquet. With the balloon bouquet in hoof (and it does look pretty decent for the effort), Rarity takes Sweetie Belle for a goofy photoshoot. When the photos are reviewed, Rarity is surprised that Sweetie Belle wasn't happy at all.
With no success at getting the dog to obey, Zipperwill runs off in tears. Similarly, it seemed clear to Rarity what Sweetie Belle liked but it seems Rarity doesn't know her own sister at all and she too races off, this time with anger, leaving Rarity in tears. However, Rarity becomes angry that her own sister talked in such a way to her and is determined to take action. Elsewhere, Sweetie Belle has found Zipperwill upset over the fact that the Ripley she once knew no longer seems to enjoy playing with her but a reivew of the toy in question gives Sweetie Belle an idea.
Just when Scootaloo has given up, Sweetie Belle arrives with Zipperwill with the conclusion that the puppy has grown up. Rarity arrives, still in costume and waits for the end result. Zipperwill agrees the animal has grown over time but it's hard for her to accept that her puppy is no longer a puppy. Sweetie Belle understands but notes that maintaining it's a puppy doesn't turn back time and keep it a puppy. Rarity comes out of the bushes to admit that Sweetie Beelle had been right and was under the same situation as Zipperwill.
The duo agree to do different things together and hug, or hug once Rarity removes the costume. Sweetie Belle removes a twig from Rarity's hair and it ends up right in front of Ripley. This is what Ripley wanted and finally, Zipperwill gets to play fetch with her dog. While the others join in, Rarity and Sweetie Belle agree to spend the last of the time together before Rarity returns to Canterlot. Sweetie Belle's idea takes them back to the ice cream parlor for proper sundaes that the duo enjoy eating together before getting their photo taken together by the manager.
