Episode 138 Every Little Thing She Does Aired:
September 24 2016
Early one morning, Twilight and Starlight arrive inside the castle for some magic challenges to see if Starlight can improve herself. After a shaky start, Starlight gets in sync and even proves to be better by shoving all the books on the shelves down to the floor in a big pile. After using cleanup as a means to further show-off, Starlight shows a spell combo to finish her demonstration. Twilight is impressed but notes the lack of friendship lessons in the report and doesn't fall for Starlight's excuses. Luckily Twilight and Spike will be out for much of the day, allowing Starlight to get in a friendship lesson to report back on when they return.
Later, as Starlight contemplates balancing objects with her magic, a knock on the door startles her so she rushes to make it look like she's doing something related to her task. It's Spike at the door asking if Starlight needs anything before the two of them leave and has to ask about what Starlight is doing currently. Starlight shows him the note cards of her plans, which is enough for Spike to suggest admitting if she's nervous about friendship problems but Starlight maintains that she is anything but nervous. Spike doesn't think Starlight is getting the right idea but it only adds to the dilemma when Starlight adds another item to her list.
Even when the rest of the Mane Six are called over and hear the options, they feel it's too much for a single day. Worse still, each of them has trouble agreeing to their assigned areas of the castle so Rainbow Dash scouts the perfect chillaxing location at the castle, if possible. Now comes the problem of deciding which of them should go first and each one has their own input on the order. It proves to be too much for Starlight and she bolts for some fresh air and privacy. Starlight opts to try a tiny spell to settle things but when she finds equally lackluster results, she decides to combine them for a better result.
She gets the spell into play but celebrates too early as she finds each of the ponies completely motionless, as if under mind control. Realizing what her spells require for activation, Starlight brings some life back into her group before giving them their tasks. She starts to bake with Pinkie Pie, whom is willing to make anything Starlight wants her to but remembers to add all the ingredients. Once she feels confident Pinkie Pie will have things done without fear, Starlight heads out, leaving Pinkie Pie to follow orders. Rarity proves to be just as willing to let Starlight control what she makes and agrees to make the desired dress from the magazine.

Next, she moves to Applejack but gets too many details regarding one photo so she suggests to cut the story to just a single sentence, which is also not helpful. Starlight heads off again, requesting Applejack to continue organizing until she returns. Downstairs, Starlight finds Fluttershy without any animals as Fluttershy wasn't commanded to stop the animals but asks her to round up the animals and bring them back. While she waits, Starlight is greeted by Rainbow Dash, whom just needs to set up their prime chillaxing area. With more waiting to do, Starlight returns to Applejack, whom has things in order but isn't making the story interesting at all.

Rarity finishes but it's only a piece of artwork, which isn't what Starlight meant so Starlight gives her more clear instructions then returns to Applejack for more of the story. With the story still boring, Starlight checks on Pinkie Pie and finds the room filled with ingredients and food as Pinkie Pie is making everything in the cookbook, which isn't what was meant. She stops Pinkie Pie and shuts her up before heading back to the entrance where things aren't any better. Pinkie Pie mutters something but cannot speak properly until Starlight releases her lips. With the danger of overcooked food a reality, Starlight needs water but not from storm clouds that have been gathering by Rainbow Dash's accord.
Rain fills the castle until it flows out through the windows, leaving the place a watery mess just in time for Twilght and Spike to return. Twilight is less than thrilled, demanding to know what happened before helping Spike clean up. With everything more-or-less fixed, Twilight approaches Starlight to echo what Spike had said earlier before learning why the spell was used in the first place. Starlight has been neglecting her friendship lessons on purpose as things like baking a cake with Pinkie Pie freak her out.
She wanted to continue impressing Twilight with her magic skills in hopes Twilight wouldn't notice. Additionally, she fears that she won't be good at what her friends are doing but the lesson isn't what Starlight had made it out to be. In fact, each lesson is about getting to know the pony by doing what they love. Starlight realizes she indeed missed the entire point and now must face apologizing as the next friendship lesson.

We find the others at tables, struggling to cope with the events that unfolded in Twilight's castle. Starlight arrives to apologize but Rarity just wants a quiet conversation and isn't being acknowledged. Nevertheless, Starlight gets out what she needed to say before heading back to finish cleaning up. However, the others want to help with their part of the task and join in making repairs while Twilight checks off the lessons on the list.
When they're done, Starlight doesn't feel she's ready to take on friendship lessons for a while but Twilight notes she'd been doing them all day. Only one remains and it's chillaxing with Rainbow Dash so she heads to the beach to make sure everything is ready. It's almost ready as they need to be quiet but it's up to Rainbow Dash when that's complete and they all have a good laugh when Starlight asks how long that'll be.
