Episode 124	Newbie Dash	Aired: May 7 2016
We find Rainbow Dash flying through the sky when Scootaloo calls out to her. Scootaloo wants to see Rainbow Dash fly on the Wonderbolts tour but Rainbow Dash is on reserve and will not be performing unless one of the Wonderbolts cannot fly. In the very least, she'll get a reserver's uniform, which is good enough for Scootaloo. The duo feel a rumble as three of the Wonderbolts fly overhead but while two split off, one heads to the ground. The impact is impressive to Scootaloo and it's clear to Rainbow Dash that Spitfire has come to see them. Even more is that Rainbow Dash will be flying with the others as she's been promoted, leaving Rainbow Dash too excited to speak so Scootaloo lets out her excitement. Eventually, Rainbow Dash brings on a large smile and is so busy packing at the hotel (of sorts, though they don't really mention that's what it is so I'm not sure) that she doesn't stop to tell the others about it right away, especially since it's not that big a deal. Finally, Rainbow Dash takes a break to explain what she's been told and what she'll be doing in the days before the event. The news disapoints Pinkie Pie, whom had already planned one party but not one for what she fears is Rainbow Dash's permanent abscence. Luckily, it's just for one show but there's probably much to learn. However, Rainbow Dash feels confident in her abilities and only fears less-than-minor things like wearing sunglasses or not. Nevertheless, she takes off. At the Wonderbolts runway, Rainbow Dash shares her knowledge of the Wonderbolts but Spitfire isn't really thrilled and notes particular importance to rule 1 on looking before crossing the runway simply because of the pending Wonderbolts and their flashy entrances. The duo arrive where the Wonderbolts sleep where Rainbow Dash fangirls over the case before agreeing to be ready in 5 minutes. Rainbow Dash gets ready and tries to shake off the pressure of her first Wonderbolts flight before heading outside. Unfortunately, she forgets to look before crossing and only looks after Spitire warns her, leaving her to cross too quickly and crash into a trash can, leaving the current events to reflect her past as a filly. Finally, they take to the skies as they have much to do but Rainbow Dash struggles to keep in sync with the others. Worse still, once practice is over, Spitfire notes of a rule in place whereby the worst performer must clean the entire area, which shuts down Rainbow Dash's confidence. That night, she arrives back at the hotel to find a surprise party waiting for her but doesn't share their excitement as things didn't go as she planned. The rest of the Mane Six catch on and realize something isn't right so they ask Rainbow Dash about it. At first, Rainbow Dash assures things are fine but they eventually learn that her childhood nickname came back to bite her so Rarity suggests doing something that makes her stand out.  Rainbow Dash accepts the idea but it leaves the others confused. The next morning, Rainbow Dash is wide awake and cosplaying as Pinkie Pie but is reminded that they have to keep a level head when flying. As a result, Rainbow Dash cosplays as Applejack but ends up stating the obvious and ends up alone in the room. Once outside, she's cosplays as Twilight but no one is even remotely amused by her antics or accepting of the pre-flight checklists. When she gets an earful from Spitfire, Rainbow Dash cosplays as Fluttershy but no one buys it. Back inside the locker room, Rainbow Dash cosplays as Rarity but as with all the others, no one is amused, not even Spitfire, whom gets Rainbow Dash to snap out of it and shares her new uniform. Rainbow Dash isn't thrilled about her nickname being official and needs something epic to rid the area of her nickname for good. The event day arrives and the Mane Six gathers, though Pinkie Pie needs cotton candy and races over to get some. While they discuss what they've learned from Rainbow Dash's rough start, they find her and bring her over. However, Rainbow Dash needs Scootaloo's for her plan and eventually takes her away to a skateboard jump ramp and explains what's going on. Scootaloo isn't so sure this'll work or whether it's even a good idea but Rainbow Dash assures she'll never get that nasty nickname once it's over. The Wonderbolts pass over, signaling Rainbow Dash to get out there, leaving Scootaloo still uncertain. With that, the crowd gets the word that the event is starting. Despite Rarity's assurance that Pinkie Pie wouldn't miss the event, Applejack knows only cotton candy could do such a thing and sure enough, Pinkie Pie and Spike are still waiting for the right amount of cotton candy to be delivered. The crowd watch in awe as even Rainbow Dash performs the maneuvers perfectly but Pinkie Pie and Spike now deal with so much cotton candy that it fills the stand. With the routine going well, Rainbow Dash gets her plan into action but isn't ready to kick the thundercloud out of the way and travels halfway down a tree and all around the area before finally plowing into Pinkie Pie's cotton candy and onto the ground. Pinkie Pie approves but Spitfire doesn't and after Rainbow Dash gets some bandages, learns what happened. In spite of the wrecklessness, Rainbow Dash is still with the Wonderbolts and has rightfully earned her nickname. Furthermore, everyone else has a nickname story that is about as bad as her own and Rainbow Dash agrees to be less of a show-off but has 1 month probation. That night, while Rainbow Dash cleans up the mess she made, the others arrive and learn how happy she is being a Wonderbolt.
