Episode 58	Sleepless in Ponyville	Aired: December 8 2012
Ponyville's normal activities are interrupted as Scootaloo blazes through on her scooter, with Granny Smith offering assistance herself. She flies through the air and gets compliments from Rainbow Dash but her pause leaves her down in the bale of hay.Later, while Sweetie-Belle and Apple Bloom are playing their variant of checkers, Scootaloo is telling her story. When she finishes, there's some brief excitement from her friends until Scootaloo mentions RD possibly taking her under her wing. She just needs a way to spend time with RD and AB mentions her camping trip with Applejack that weekend. AB had every intention of letting SB go and SB is confident that Rarity loves camping. However, when SB brings it up to Rarity, Rarity's reaction is the exact opposite: she hates camping but changes her mind when SB gives her ultimate sad face. The trip gets underway and they find Rarity has packed sky-high with accessories. Scootaloo is worried about RD but is told RD is meeting them at their first campsite. Poor Rarity is acting like a child on a long car ride, asking the routine question that she's apparently asked 1000 times before with the same answer but this time, they're here. Moreover, Rainbow Dash is there, gathering the campfire materials at lightning speed. Scootaloo seizes her chance but ends up hurting her pride and her head. All remaining essentials like the tent are assembled and RD brings up that Scootaloo is sleeping with her and learns that Scootaloo isn't a snorer. That night, the campfire is lit and RD shares a scary story. When it's over, Scootaloo plays cool despite being scared herself. With everyone else in their tent for sleep, Scootaloo, tries toughing it up but even the smallest noise leaves her on edge. She darts inside to find RD sleeping (so much for worrying about snoring, RD). Somehow she finds sleep and dreams about encountering the Olden Pony and her missing rusty horseshoe. When she awakens from the nightmare, she remains awake moaning as RD awakens at dawn, not seeing anything wrong with Scootaloo and plans to start their next leg of the trip that morning. Along the way to Winton Falls, Scootaloo has been sleeping on the cart that SB is pulling but when hearing that they may arrive at the next campsite at dusk, she hurries to arrive at the campsite before then and falls asleep but arrives without injury or any incident.It's AJ that first notices Scootaloo's behavior and they arrive at dusk to a cave to take shelter in for the night.It becomes much harder for Scootaloo to handle simply getting firewood as the forest is proving to be just as menacing as RD's story and her own nightmare. She gathers up less than what RD had expected but enough to light the campfire. Scootaloo suggests to tell the night's story in place of where RD had been going with her's but it doesn't compare so RD tells about the Headless Horse's legacy in the forest. Bedtime arrives but Scootaloo isn't ready and suggests other alternatives. SB is only too happy to sing a campfire song, even if it's nothing traditional. She bores everyone but Scootaloo with her song and when it's over, everyone is tuckered out and heads to bed, uninterested in doing anything else. Another nightmare awaits Scootaloo in her sleep and just when it looks like she's a goner, the Headless Horse reveals itself as Princess Luna, whom explains that Scootaloo must face her fears or her nightmares will continue. Scootaloo awkens and fears The Headless Horse does exist and darts out of the cave in fear (when the whinny heard is RD herself). Scootaloo's scooter hits a rock and Scootaloo falls over the edge, barely managing to catch a tree branch and watches her scooter fall into the river below. Her cries for help are unanswered and she falls into the river and over the falls but RD catches her and brings her to safety, demanding to know why Scootaloo is out there in the middle of the night.  Scootaloo explains everything and learns that RD was also scared of those stories at first but realized she could take on The Headless Horse if it existed. She also agrees she could take Scootaloo under her wing if Scootaloo doesn't fall over anymore rivers in the middle of the night and Scootaloo agrees.At their second campsite, the group have a race when Scootaloo encounters the real Olden Pony but RD finds her missing rusty horseshoe and she carries on with Luna watching close by.
