Episode 5	Griffon the Brush-Off	Aired: November 12 2010
In a park, Twilight is busy reading while Pinkie Pie tells another story. When she sees Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie follows her wherever she goes but RD doesn't want that and ends up flying into a mountain (more like a cliff) and Pinkie Pie was just going to warn her about it. Later, RD is sleeping on a cloud until she hears Pinkie Pie down below asking where RD is. Twilight points out that RD is up in the cloud so RD scurries away and takes part in what looks to be a Pepe Le Pew cartoon parody with Pinkie Pie and RD moving in a similar manner to the two skunks of that cartoon. Finally, RD gives up and agrees to take part in what we see is a prank on Spike, who ends up getting the hiccups and accidentally sending the scrolls to Celestia, whom can't believe what she's seeing. RD can think of something else more hilarious and gives Pinkie Pie hiccups too. They decide to hang out and pull pranks on the others, not all of which are that amused but AJ's prank is reversed by putting the apples in water. Pinkie Pie stops RD from pranking Fluttershy but ends up pranking RD with the telescope using the old black eye routine. Nevertheless, Fluttershy can't figure out what's going on with the toy. The next day, Pinkie Pie arrives wearing a goofy pair of glasses and is greeted by Gilda, a friend of Rainbow Dash's from their days at Junior Flight school. Gilda barely puts in any effort to recite their flight school's chant with RD and reminds RD that she was going to give a flight lesson so they split off as RD says they'll meet with Pinkie Pie later. Speaking of later, Pinkie Pie finds them and talks by using a trampoline to bounce into the cloud but Gilda and RD decide for another race and speed off. PP again catches up with them, this time by using several party balloons so Gilda offers another race to end the tiebreaker and pops PP's balloons, figuring the high altitude is making PP dizzy but PP comes back with a sort of flying machine. Gilda tells PP that RD doesn't need to hang around with her anymore and causes her flying machine to spiral out of control and land in pieces on the ground. She tells Twilight about Gilda but Twilight isn't so sure, saying that PP is just jealous. While she gives potentially good advice, PP storms off very upset, leaving Spike and Twilight looking grimly at each other. Outside, PP thinks about what Twilight said, then while having a sundae, sees Gilda playing a joke on Granny Smith, whom is slowly walking away, frightened by the "rattler" known as Gilda's tail. PP reminds herself not to misjudge Gilda until she sees Gilda swipe an apple from the basket but then figures she might give it back. Meanwhile, Fluttershy is leading her ducks through town when she encounters Gilda, whom not only speaks rudely to her but leaves her flying away in tears. PP decides its time for extreme measures her way and what does that mean? She throws yet another party, then pulls the old hand (or hoof in this case) on the buzzer trick, leaving Gilda dizzy and suspicious, that is until she is introduced by others and brings up a guilty smile. Gilda tries the lemon drops but they're too hot for her but enough for Pinkie Pie's marshmallow. Next, she gets a drink but spills it and finally gets a drink to soothe her burning mouth, not amused by any of the pranks thus far. She bets she knows who is responsible but PP has no idea. Gila opens a gift but it's the "jumping snakes" gag instead. Spike wants to blow out the candles but they decide to let Gilda do it but she literally can't because they're pre-lit, another prank. It's time for Pin the Tail on the Pony and Gilda wants to go first but doesn't understand what's going on and instead ends up slipping on cake and crashing. This makes her angrier than ever and she accuses Pinkie Pie of pulling all the pranks but Pinkie Pie says the party and the pranks were in hopes of changing her attitude. RD admits that she pulled all the pranks and it was dumb luck that Gilda got them. Gilda wants RD to leave but RD tells her off instead, then apologizes for bringing her here in the first place., then shares the buzzer on the hoof trick with Pinkie Pie.  Twilight apologizes to Pinkie Pie for misjudgment but PP forgives her and while she and the rest continue partying, Twilight has sent a letter to Celestial all about what she has learned. Celestia begins her response letter but uses the wrong ink so she starts again.
