Derby Nightmare

"The Applewood Derby, a special event where ponies gather using custom made carts that travel around the track to the finish line. A day that is meant to be filled with fun and learning. However, things go horribly wrong as derby racers converge at an intersection, resulting in a pile-up of multiple carts. What lead to this horrific scene and can anything be done in the future to prevent it from happening again? Disasters don't just happen. They're triggered by a chain of critical events. Unlock the mysteries in those final Seconds from Disaster, "

"Ponyville ----> Ms. Cheerilee's school -----> The Applewood Derby,"

"The Applewood Derby features racers constructing carts, sometimes with parents to compete in a special race involving a narrow winding racetrack. 9:05 AM. Ms. Cheerilee enters and begins her lesson, which leads the class confused as to what it's all about. 11:25 AM. As construction gets under way, each filly and their parent have conflicting ideas on the design. 5:15 AM the next day. Work resumes on the carts. 12 noon. The racers take to the starting line before are given the signal to start moving. 1:19 PM. With the race underway, Applejack has deliberately decided to move as slowly as possible, just as she wants. 2:10 PM. The Cutie Mark Crusaders and several other racers meet in the center for a gigantic pile-up."

"Now by rewinding the vents of that day and going deep into the investigation, we can reveal the chain of events that led to the Applewood Derby disaster. Investigators wonder if the track itself played a role in the disaster. They inspect the footage of the racers and find its unique clover-shaped track could lead to problems if racers end up at different points, just as it did in this accident. Why wasn't a more traditional track used? *Mayor Mare comes on screen.*

"This one looked a lot more fun and I didn't see any harm in it since while they were all mostly new to the race, they had someone to accompany them," explained Mayor Mare.

"With the track basically ruled out, investigators turn to the lesson being taught the day before the disaster. Why were the fillies learning something as complex as physics when they could've done a normal race with regular carts and not really had to take it into account?" *Ms Cheerilee comes on screen.*

"The Applewood Derby is no ordinary race so I can't just let them attempt to build carts without some kind of supervision and insight of what they're getting into," replied Ms. Cheerilee.

"Investigators now need to know whether the carts' unusual designs were a factor." *Applejack comes on screen.*

"Well mine wasn't exactly blazin' down the track but I could imagine some were rather over-the-top like Rarity and Sweetie Belle's," stated Applejack.

"This still does not explain why the adults supervising didn't allow their younger ones to help at all." *Rarity comes on screen.*

"The very idea of the race for us I think went to our heads and basically left us thinking about ourselves, which defeated the entire purpose of making the carts," explained Rarity.

"We can finally reveal the pieces that led to the Applewood Derby disaster.2 days until disaster. Ms. Cheerilee gets her lesson with her class underway. Her lesson factors in important details regarding the carts that are being built. 1 day to go. Construction gets underway but the adults supervising let the excitement of the race take over, leaving the fillies they're supposed to be watching out of the picture completely. 35 minutes to go. The carts are finished and racers take to the starting line but since the clover-shaped track is more appealing, there are no changes before the race begins. Disaster strikes. With the adults behind the wheel of the carts, several meet in the intersection and cause a massive pile-up."

"After the disaster, a second race took place but the adults were left out for safety. Mayor Mare has switched the track's clover shape with a more traditional one, allowing for much safer races to come. Ms. Cheerilee has omitted physics until the fillies reach a later stage in their lives The ponies have also learned not to let the race take away the important aspects of the Applewood Derby. Changes like these will improve the fun for residents of Ponyville so that events like these do not happen again.

Camp Catastrophe

"Camp Everfree is a campsite located miles away from Canterlot High School. There's lots to do and both counselors are as nice as can be. Suddenly. A mysterious glowing-eyed creature emerges and wreaks havoc, trapping everyone in a web of vines. Who is behind this and why is this creature acting this way? Behind every disaster there's a chain of critical events. Unlock the clues and countdown those final Seconds from Disaster.

"Ponyville ----> Canterlot High ----> Camp Everfree,"

"Camp Everfree has been the campsite for classes for years. It's organized activities and various camp sites make it an ideal place to spend time outdoors. 3:43 AM. As activities get underway, the equipment starts to go haywire. 5:09 PM. With the mystery behind the strange occurrences still lingering, Sunset Shimmer finds Timber Spruce in an argument with Gloriosa regarding the fate of the campsite. 7:30 PM. Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer are walking in the forest and notice an unusual trail of sparkles behind Timber Spruce. Unable to make sense of it, they shrug it off. Midnight. The group follows Gloriosa into the same mysterious cave but Gloriosa is too into the new powers that lay before her. 12:22 AM. Gloriosa uses the orbs and becomes a hideous being that leaves Camp Everfree in total peril,"

"Now by rewinding the events and going deep into the investigation, we can reveal what happened at Camp Everfree. The first step in understanding what went wrong is to find out why nothing was done about the sparkles trailing from Timber Spruce earlier in the day. *Sunset Shimmer comes on screen.*

"There wasn't any proof that the story of Gaia Everfree was true and if we warned everyone now, then when she actually appeared, no one would believe it. Plus Twilight and I weren't fully supporting the story as a whole. It seemed more like a simple campfire story," explained Sunset.

"The first clue is unlocked but investigators still need to know about the glowing orbs that transformed Gloriosa Everfree into the threat that attacked Camp Everfree. *Gloriosa comes on screen.*

"They're known as geodes and they were SO powerful that they were sealed off behind the cave. It's one of those where you just have to find out what's back there that makes it closed off. I went there once before and then waited my chance to go in and actually master their power for myself. I got that opportunity when Twilight and her friends came," replied Gloriosa.

"Although it explains what they are, this does not answer how they are able to take control of Gloriosa so quickly," *Timber Spruce comes on screen.*

"Each orb doesn't do much by itself but when you combine it, the chemical reaction released is much quicker and gave us the threat Camp Everfree faced. Once you're encased in the being, there's no easy way out of it," elaborated Timber.

"One last mystery remains. what about the unusual events regarding the equipment that caused them to malfunction?" *Twilight comes on screen.*

"I'd guess it was one of the geodes that was somehow mixing with our powers to in turn cause the malfunctioning of the equipment. We don't know much about them though," stated Twilight.

"We can now reveal the chain of events that led to disaster at Camp Everfree. 7 hours until disaster. Activities are underway but due to a possible link with the magic of Twilight and her friends mixing with the chemicals of the geodes, the equipment malfunctions. 5 hours and 30 minutes left. Sunset Shimmer sees Timber Spruce trailing sparkles but since she and others aren't taking the story seriously, and lack the evidence, they ignore the incident. 2 hours to go. Timber Spruce enters the cave. 22 minutes left. Gloriosa enters the cave for a 2nd time to get the geodes. Disaster strikes. Now fully engulfed by the chemicals of the geodes, Gloriosa transforms and inflicts total destruction on Camp Everfree"

"After the disaster, Gloriosa and Timber are back to normal and with the help of the campers, raised enough money to save the camp from being sold to Filthy Rich. Twilight and her friends have also gained a new power and honor their victory with a special celebration. With the dark powers gone, Camp Everfree shall remain a safe and happy camp for years to come,"

Filly Failure

"Friendships are a common place in Ponyville. It is never too difficult to meet a new pony and become allies. Diamond Tiara has finished taking part in the decision for the window pane's design and wants it done differently. However, she ends up the loser and has her world brought crashing down around her. How did this go so horribly wrong and can anything be done to fix it? Disasters don't just happen. They're triggered by a chain of critical events. Unlock the mysteries and countdown those final Seconds from Disaster.

        "Ponyville ----> Ms. Cheerilee's School,"

" At 8:30 AM, Ms. Cheerilee brings her students outside for the election that will decide their class president. By 8:47 AM, the election is over and the suggested window pane is brought in to decide whether the design is what they want. 9:02 AM. With the decision somewhat finalized, Diamond Tiara tries to gain votes through manipulation. 9:10 AM. The votes are tallied and Diamond Tiara has lost. In fact, not even her best friend Silver Spoon had voted for her. 9:21 AM. Diamond Tiara heads back into Ponyville where her mom awaits. 9:23 AM. Diamond Tiara is scolded and is left unable to make the next decision."

"Now by rewinding the events and going deep into the investigation, we can reveal what led to Diamond Tiara's mixed feelings. The first question on the investigators' minds is why didn't Silver Spoon support her best friend. *Silver Spoon comes on screen.*

"She basically shoved me aside and prevented me from making any comments. Not exactly what a friend would do," explained Silver Spoon.

"It helps, but it does nothing to explain why voting was allowed to continue even though only one pony disapproved of the window pane. *Ms Cheerilee comes on screen.*

"I have to take complaints into account as well as compliments. I wasn't aware that Diamond Tiara would ever create mischief," replied Ms. Cheerilee.

"Now investigators need to know why Diamond Tiara was scolded so harshly just for losing a voting poll that was of little importance." *Spoiled Rich comes on screen.*

"No one likes a loser so I gave my daughter everything she needed to be a winner. Unfortunately it was not to be and after all I did for her, she comes back empty," stated Spoiled Rich.

"Still, this doesn't explain why Diamond Tiara had no idea what to do next." *Diamond Tiara comes on screen.*

"My mom also had basically been the brains behind what I did and said for my entire life. Disobeying her was going to be met with big consequences. I didn't know whether to be with her anymore or to seek help from ponies that may have been frowned upon with her," elaborated Diamond Tiara.

"Investigators still need to know one last piece of the puzzle. Why didn't anyone cheer her up and offer to help?" *The Cutie Mark Crusaders come on screen.*

"Diamond Tiara ain't exactly known for playin' nicely so I figure they either didn't notice or didn't bother to help considerin' how Diamond Tiara treats them," said Apple Bloom.

"Yeah, and maybe everyone was just too excited or focused on Pipsqueak winning the polls as well as the new window pane," added Scootaloo.

"Plus Diamond Tiara was the only one to vote against the window pane. Even if two other ponies had voted against it, the votes still would've been more for Pipsqueak," concluded Sweetie Belle.

"All the pieces are in place. We can now reveal the chain of events that led to Diamond Tiara's total failure." 53 minutes to disaster. voting has begun, but since Diamond Tiara does not support Silver Spoon, she is voted against in the polls. 25 minutes left. The pane is revealed, but Diamond Tiara is greenlit for voting manipulation due to Ms. Cheerilee's inability to detect any foul play from her student. 5 minutes to go. Diamond Tiara has lost the voting and heads off. Disaster strikes. Due to her failures and Spoiled Rich's high expectations of her daughter, Spoiled Rich criticizes Diamond Tiara harshly, leaving Diamond Tiara uncertain whether to continue with her mom or seek help. Additionally, Diamond Tiara's constant bullying or other poor behavior leaves no one to help her in her time of need."

"After the disaster the Cutie Mark Crusaders finally got their cutie marks, allowing them to have a future they've so desperately wanted. Additionally, they've brought Diamond Tiara to their group and are working to get her behavior so that one day Diamond Tiara may be better respected. Diamond Tiara has also improved her attitude and has donated to the construction of the playground equipment, leaving her well on her way to becoming the pony she's always wanted to be."

Time Travel Terror

"Twilight's castle has become a symbol of Twilight Sparkle and friends' bond as well as a new chapter in their lives. Suddenly, while returning home from an important speech, Twilight and Spike find their old nemesis Starlight Glimmer waiting and watch as she alters the timeline to her advantage. Disasters don't just happen. They're triggered by a chain of critical events. Unlock the mysteries and countdown those final Seconds from Disaster. "

        "Equestria ----> Ponyville ----> Twilight's Castle,"

"Having returned from the Helping Hooves Music Festival, Twilight Sparkle recites a speech she'll be giving later in the day. 9:10 AM. Practice is over and now she must give the real speech. 9:45 AM. The speech is a success and now Twilight and Spike head home, somewhat troubled at what Twilight felt she saw during practice. 9:50 AM. They arrive home and all seems well until they decide to enter the room that houses the thrones. 10:02 AM. They find Starlight Glimmer, a foe of their past, waiting for them and ready to strike. 10:25 AM. With the scroll containing Star Swirl the Bearded's spell at hand, Starlight Glimmer uses her magic and the scroll's magic to travel through time and affect the future,"

"Now by rewinding the events of that day, we can reveal what went wrong at Twilight's Castle. Investigators must first discover how and why Starlight Glimmer came back. *Spike comes on screen.*

"We did beat her last time and she was never fully defeated so she probably decided to do this out of revenge. I mean we did ruin her perfect plan of equality and all. She probably snuck into town using her magic," explained Spike.

"Investigators now need to understand the scroll's purpose and what its purpose was in rewriting history," *Twilight comes on screen.*

"Starlight Glimmer clearly used Star Swirl's time travel scroll to literally rewrite history by changing what it could do," replied Twilight.

"The next thing investigators need to find out is why Twilight couldn't stop the spell when it was being generated," *Spike comes on screen.*

"As we discovered later, Twilight couldn't stop Starlight Glimmer's magic, probably because it was more advanced. This would also explain why it wasn't initially stopped the first time we met Starlight Glimmer," said Spike.

"Finally, investigators need to learn why Starlight Glimmer didn't realize her actions before Twilight showed her," *Starlight Glimmer comes on screen.*

"I was so caught up with the fact that my friendship with Sunburst ending that I didn't realize that not only I could make new friends but in doing what I did, I was preventing the friendship of Twilight and her friends," admitted Starlight Glimmer.

"It's the final piece of the puzzle. We can now reveal what went wrong at Twilight's castle. 1 hour and fifteen minutes to disaster. While Twilight gives a speech, Starlight Glimmer uses her magic to infiltrate Ponyville. 35 minutes to go. Back home, Twilight and Spike see Starlight Glimmer waiting for them and due to her inability to move on from her past, takes her revenge out on Twilight's friendship. 5 minutes left. The magic in the scroll and Starlight Glimmer's magic prevent Twilight from intervening. Disaster strikes. Starlight Glimmer travels back in time and completely alters the Ponyville timeline,"

"After the disaster, Starlight Glimmer has realized her mistakes and learned that you can always make new friends when old friends leave. As a result, she never attacked Ponyville again,"

Happiness of Horrors

"Starlight Glimmer's town is home to ponies of all types. It's a small, quaint town with few buildings. Suddenly, when Twilight arrives with her friends, the ponies they find take the Mane Six prisoner and force them to learn their ways of the town. Disasters don't just happen. They're a chain of critical events. Unlock the clues in those final Seconds from Disaster.

"Ponyville. ----> Equestria. ----> The Town of Equality,"
"Along with her new castle, Twilight has received a crystallized map that displays areas beyond Equestria. When ponies are needed, it uses their cutie marks to pinpoint the location of trouble. 8:10 AM. Twilight and the others are called to the Town of Equality to deal with a crisis. 8:43 AM. They arrive and discover that everyone is happy and all seems well, even when they are greeted by the leader Starlight Glimmer. 10:48 AM. The group somewhat feel uneasy and head to a bakery for lunch. 11:02 AM. Waitress Sugar Belle attends to them but isn't a very good cook, leaving the ponies to somehow devour the pile of muffins. 11:50 AM. With lunch over, the group infiltrate Sugar Belle's bakery basement and learn that not everyone is happy as is. Starlight Glimmer directs them to a 40 foot vault of cutie marks and takes their cutie marks. With them under the same magical forces, the Mane Six are corralled into a tiny room and forced to convert over."

"Now by rewinding the events of that day and going deep into the investigation, we can reveal what went wrong at the Town of Equality. Investigators need to understand more about this town and its owner. Who is she and why did she want to convert everyone to be the same?" *Double Diamond comes on screen.*

"She was looking for equality because she felt that since we were all different, it'd be much easier to make us all the same so there wouldn't be fighting," explained Double Diamond.

"It's a start but why didn't the ponies realize that the smiles on their faces were forced?" *Twilight comes on screen.*

"We knew it was odd for everypony to be happy in a town needing help but that was just it. Their happiness masked their true feelings, not to mention their cutie marks," replied Twilight.

"Why didn't the others take action as it was happening?" *Sugar Belle comes on screen.*

"I guess we thought it was for the best. That and maybe Starlight Glimmer was too good at manipulating us with lies," figured Sugar Belle.

"If everyone was under Starlight Glimmer's magic, why wasn't everyone completely affected?" *Night Glider comes on screen.*

"It's hard to say, but my guess is that for some of the ponies, their love for their cutie mark was strong enough that Starlight Glimmer's magic couldn't fully penetrate them, though their desire wasn't as strong afterwards and thus couldn't make the ponies rebel. That and likely they didn't want to rebel for fears of what would happen." stated Night Glider.

"The last thing investigators need to know is why didn't Twilight's magic counteract Starlight Glimmer's magic?" *Starlight Glimmer comes on screen.*

"She let her guard down because there didn't seem to be a crisis. That and because we were all new to her, it'd have been wrong to simply accuse us of wrongdoing without proof. Besides, she wanted to try and be friends with us, which ended up being a mistake," recalled Starlight.

"Now that the pieces are in place, we can reveal the chain of events that led to disaster at the Town of Equality. 3 hours until disaster. The ponies arrive but the smiling faces of the town's ponies not only mask their true feelings but leave Twilight to let down her guard. 1 hour to go. They decide to try the food in town but since it's not up to their standard it's much harder to swallow. 45 minutes left. The ponies enter the bakery's basement where desires for their cutie marks are strong enough to partially resist Starlight Glimmer's spell but not fully. Disaster strikes. Starlight Glimmer shows everyone her cutie mark vault and takes the Mane Six's cutie marks. Now under her control, Starlight Glimmer traps them and starts their corruption."

"After the disaster, those under Starlight Glimmer's powers were freed and Starlight Glimmer is beaten. The Mane Six and the Town of Equality residents have become great friends. With no one to corrupt their minds or their personalities, the Town of Equality residents will make sure that no one tries to take away their freedom or their personalities again."

Holiday Horror

"Ponyville at Christmas is a time of joy and love with those you care about as you help others decorate the town for the holidays. Suddenly, the town tree's top ornament falls and breaks, leaving Ponyville without its usual beacon for Santa. What caused the ornament to fall? What makes the ornament so special and how can they save Christmas in time? Disasters don't just happen. They're triggered by a chain of critical events. Unlock the clues in those final Seconds from Disaster.

        "Ponyville ----> Cotton Candy Café,"

"Cotton Candy Café is an area where ponies can order delicious treats. It is also home to planning for the holidays. 8:10 AM. Ponies Triple Treat and Sweetberry are deciding on ideas for their tree's top ornament, the Here Comes Christmas Candy Cane. 8:40 AM. With the ornament decided, they work together and place it on top of their Christmas tree. 9:00 AM. Minty drops by and marvels at its appearance but can't help but feel something is off. 9:25 AM. Minty finds a balloon and flies up to try and fix the candy cane, which is not standing straight. 9:30 AM. The weight of the candy cane is too much for the special holder on top of the tree and it falls out, leaving Minty helpless as it shatters on impact with the ground. Christmas is over as far as Minty is concerned."

"Now by rewinding the events of that day and going deep into the investigation, we can reveal the chain of events that destroyed the Here Comes Christmas Candy Cane" and why no one stopped Minty from tinkering with it. The first question on the investigators' mind is why no one was around to stop Minty in the first place," *Sweetberry comes on screen.*

"We were all so busy putting up decorations that we weren't even aware Minty was even gone. Plus we probably thought that if Minty needed our help, she'd come to us," explained Sweetberry.

"Although this explains why no one came to help, it doesn't explain why Minty decided to fix the leaning candy cane in the first place," *Minty comes on screen.*

"It's kind of my nature. If I see something that isn't quite straight, I attempt to fix it and the Here Comes Christmas Candy Cane wasn't properly straight. I didn't know it'd eventually fall out," said Minty.

"The next question investigators have to answer is what the candy cane is made of that makes it so easily breakable, even in snow," *Triple Treat comes on screen.*

"Well the material had to be light so we could carry it. It's going on the top of Ponyville's tallest tree so it was pretty much a giant edible candy cane. It was also pretty fragile because of this," admitted Triple Treat.

"Now investigators need to understand why Minty never told anyone what she did so it could've been fixed," *Sparkleworks comes on screen.*

"Minty tried to tell me something but she was clearly somewhat hesitant and while I wanted to listen, it was again due to how busy we were. Obviously had we known, we'd definitely stop to fix things," stated Sparkleworks.

"Now we can finally reveal the chain of events that left Christmas in ruins. 1 hour until disaster. Plans for the Here Comes Christmas Candy Cane take shape. 45 minutes left. The candy cane made from edible ingredients is placed on top but it's lightweight material makes it prone to tipping. 20 minutes left. Minty's desire to fix anything that isn't properly straight kicks in and Minty takes to the skies to correct the candy cane. Disaster strikes. Tinkering with the candy cane proves to be too much for it to stay in place and it falls out, shattering on the ground."

"After the disaster, the ponies have added ribbons around their candy cane so that it remains straight and less likely to fall out. Minty has agreed to be much more careful about what she tinkers with and the town has agreed to have one pony watching the ornament in the hours before Christmas to ensure that their beacon of Christmas never goes out again."

"
