A Very Pony Place Story 2: Two for the Sky |
Outside, Minty, Sunny Daze, and Pinkie Pie are racing
off for their weekly meeting of Story Club. Inside what looks to be a
lighthouse is a pony named Storybelle, whom invites them to the Story
Loft so they can all hear the scheduled story, which is given by her
cutie mark to be Two for the Sky. As she begins, the others find a comfy
pillow/bean bag chair to sit on. Storybelle instructs Gossamer, her
dragonfly to find the book and he/she does but nearly lets it drop to
the floor. At last, the story begins and we are introduced to Star
Flight and Heart Bright, near-twin ponies whom wish they can fly but
(whom I recognize as Merriweather) says it's silly because ponies can't
fly (except that she must not know about the Pegasai on Butterfly
Island). Nevertheless, they try anyway but their wings are too flimsy
and either break off or cause the "holder" to tumble to the ground.
They try again the next day but still cannot get into the air (they were better off with what they had the day before IMO) so they go to talk to the Breezies. When they arrive, they learn that Breezies have always been able to fly but without knowing how or why. Disappointed, they head back home to sleep. They awaken the next morning to find that they have wings and take them outside but it's windy so they lift off the ground practically incidentally and sing about their experience. After the song ends, and narrowly missing colliding with their friends, they decide they want to be themselves again. Sure enough, they spiral towards the ground and awaken to find themselves normal. Both of them squeal in delight and go back to doing what they did before their transformation. With that, Storybelle's story ends but Heart Bright and Star Flight's rhyming seems to be catching on but they won't be talking like this for ever, will they? |
