Episode 23	Bright Lights (Part 3)	Aired: October 15, 1986
Megan says there must be a way out but none exists until an elderly pony arrives to break it up, revealing to be Knight Shade's mother. The duo have a tearful reunion and get the Grayvale ponies to back off and head away. Knight Shade should've anticipated the Grayvale inhabitants wouldn't like him returning as he hasn't earned their trust and they've lost much of their dignity. Megan and her group approach a castle as Erebus laughs that they're coming, unafraid to battle with them. Zeb's suggests to welcome the group like never before and it's an idea Erebus is so thrilled with, he and Zeb break into song. When they finish, they've gone out and confronted the group. However, Knight Shade gathers up the courage to deny any further shadow stealing. Zeb runs away as Erebus takes out his rage on the group, splitting them up a bit. Just when Zeb is ready to get more shadows, Knight Shade strikes back and sends Zeb flying without the satchel. However, Zeb retaliates, and knocks the satchel out of Knight Shade's mouth. Megan and Molly race into get the satchel while Knight Shade handles Zeb. Zeb proves to be stronger and knocks Knight Shade out cold.  Meanwhile, the rest of the group races to escape Erebus and hides behind bushes just as he turns the corner of the building. At first, it seems to be working as Erebus can't find them but a tell-tale pile of leaves gives them away and he blows away them and the bushes. As a result, he tires out and the group uses this chance to escape in different directions. Elsewhere, Megan and Molly find the satchel and make for the exit but Zeb trips them and re-obtains the satchel. Worse still, they run into Heart Throb, whom has been trying to escape and they watch as the others run away from Erebus but Galaxy trips and struggles to fight back. Unfortunately, Erebus blocks their attempt to save her and takes Galaxy's shadow. They meet inside a cave and realize that Erebus lost energy and size when he ran so if they keep him away from shadows long enough, they could beat him and an army is kind of what Megan had in mind. Erebus hungers for more shadows and doesn't care how Zeb gets them but Zeb has no more to feed Erebus so he and a few rat friends head off. Meanwhile, Lofty and Molly put their plan into motion but flying low proves difficult for Lofty and Molly is snared by the rats, unable to prevent Zeb from trying to take her shadow.
