My Little Pony 'N Friends Bright Lights Summary Part 1

Episode 21	Bright Lights (Part 1)	Aired: October 13, 1986
Megan and the ponies are at a Knight Shade concert (parodying Michael Jackson obviously based on the hair and this was his prime era). Baby Heart Throb cannot contain herself and prevents Lickety Split from having a good time so Lickety Split sends the ice cream cone in Megan's hand right on Baby Heart Throb's head. It works but it wasn't what Lickety Split wanted to do with it so the ponies decide to replace it. Megan reminds them of her promise to return the ponies home but Molly gets her to agree to the terms if they hurry back. The trio promise but find a zebra named Zeb that works for Knight Shade and offers to let them meat him personally. They accept the offer and Knight Shade shares his gratitude toward them but cannot stay for them to meet again thanks to their upcoming show. Zeb suggests giving them a tour and Knight Shade agrees but Zeb has business to attend to and cannot tag along. Realizing they're waiting too long, Megan and Molly go to get the ponies and end up learning from Zeb that they're back at Paradise Estate much to Lickety Spit's dismay. However, we see that's a lie because the trio and Knight Shade return from the tour and Baby Heart Throb wants to be a backup singer for Knight Shade himself. The three of them all want to be a part so Knight Shade suggests singing together rather than as rivals. They sing a song about their love of bright lights and it's proof to Knight Shade (and us) that they're much better together. Meanwhile, Megan and Molly break the news to Lofty and Heart Throb but explain while going back to try and find them. Megan wonders if they could've been kidnapped but says it'd be better if they return to Paradise Estate to form search parties. That's what the group decides to do as Megan puts Lofty in charge of the main search party and gets things rolling. Back at the tent, the trio of ponies are performing but Knight Shade and Zeb take on a sinister grin as Zeb activates a device that releases a smokscreen. The smoke snares their shadows, leaving the performers with much less energy than before but enough remains for them to continue until the song is over. Knight Shade and Zeb suggest they rest up as Baby Half Note ends up tumbling down the short flight of stairs. Once outside, Baby Lofty tries to fly and Baby Half Note realizes their shadows are gone. Megan and the others find the mayor of a town and ask about Knight Shade's wearabouts. However they get a vague answer and become trapped in a mouse trap (and Baby Heart Throb's right hind leg briefly changes to Baby Lofty's color and Baby Lofty gets a 5th leg in a few frames too). They bring up their suspicions but Baby Heart Throb isn't as convinced that it was Knight Shade's doing and neither is Zeb. The trio try to escape but a rat intercepts them at every corner until they become trapped in a cage.
