Episode 166	Secrets and Pies	Aired: October 14 2017
At Sugar Cube Corner, Pinkie Pie is hard at work baking without a recipe or taking any real measurements, much to Twilight's confusion.  It's all to celebrate Rainbow Dash's 73rd Wonderbolts Training Session, which comes off as rather specific (and it is and not even one of the numbers typically celebrated either). Pinkie Pie has picked each ingredient out and planned each of them to represent one part of the celebration.  Pinkie Pie is willing to go through so much trouble for a pie to Rainbow Dash as it's her understanding Rainbow Dash loves pies. With Twilight helping out, Pinkie Pie finds her chocolate fuel and once she devours it, is ready to finish the pie. At the Wonderbolts Academy, training wraps up and Spitfire commends Rainbow Dash on a job well done. Just when Rainbow Dash is about to head inside, Pinkie Pie finds her and offers her the pie. It touches Rainbow Dash to her heart but she's quick to give Pinkie Pie a distraction before the pie slice disappears completely. It's all the proof Pinkie Pie needs to conclude that she was right about Rainbow Dash loving pies. When Pinkie Pie offers Rainbow Dash the rest, Rainbow Dash makes up excuses for why she can't partake and the duo part their separate ways. However, Pinkie Pie notes the very pie she gave to Rainbow Dash in the trash and being hauled away. Thinking it's a mistake, she races off but is too late to stop the pie's departure down the garbage chute. The situation proves too awkward for the pony in charge to handle and he backs away slowly. Back home, Pinkie Pie ponders what went wrong and fears every possibility, no matter how absurd. Becoming suspicious, Pinkie Pie re-evaluates her past pie results with Rainbow Dash but we can clearly see it's the same antics she pulled with the rainbow pie, indicating she has no interest in pies (which is what I figured out before it was proven). Pinkie Pie needs answers so she puts on her detective hat and heads to Wonderbolts Academy. Three Wonderbolts are the first to be questioned but none of them report ever seeing Rainbow Dash eating a pie despite all the pie donations that they cannot seem to pinpoint. Next, she moves on to the veterenarean and learns that Rainbow Dash's pet tortoise Tank has indeed been under the weather with all the sweets it'd been eating. An x-ray of Tank only deepens the mystery as a pie is seemingly found inside the shell. Without much to go on, Pinkie Pie takes the vet's word that Ms. Cheerilee had similar issues with her class hamster and goes off to talk to her.  Once there, she learns the pies have come from Rainbow Dash herself, each time after her half-birthday takes place that year. With that, Pinkie Pie heads back home and analyzes all the info she's gathered so far. With all the evidence literally pointing to Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie realizes she's been lied to by Rainbow Dash the entire time. Rainbow Dash had showed no interest in her pies at all. She screams out in frustration and Applelack gets an earful before being directed to the party planning cave down below. There, she learns the situation and isn't sure whether she'd seen Rainbow Dash eat a pie or not. Pinkie Pie takes the ordeal too far by visioning Rainbow Dash as an evil, anti-pie destroyer but only Pinkie Pie is convinced it's true. As a compromise, Applejack hands over her bucket of apples from her harvest and hopes Pinkie Pie will make pies out of them. Pinkie Pie deviously agrees to make plenty of pies. It's not exactly the reaction Applejack hoped for and has no clue how to get out of the cave. The next day, Rainbow Dash is asleep until Pinkie Pie wakes her up with another spur-of-the-moment holiday name to deliver another pie. Rainbow Dash is still up to her anti-pie antics and gives Pinkie Pie flowers as a distraction while the pie is thrown down a pipe into Tank's mouth down below, leaving Pinkie Pie all sorts of confused. The next day, Pinkie Pie honors Rainbow Dash's 74th Wonderbolts Training Session with another pie, even before training has started. Rainbow Dash isn't pulling any punches this time as her warning holds true, leaving Pinkie Pie to take a hit from Spitfire charging through and ends up in a tree. After tossing away the pie, Rainbow Dash checks up on Pinkie Pie, whom becomes strapped in to be carted away to ensure she has no injuries. Getting desperate, Pinkie Pie fakes a dilemma using the abundance of pies but Rainbow Dash instead gets her down from the pile. Pinkie Pie is so angry that she causes the pie pile to collapse, leaving her a face-full from one of them. Later on, Pinkie Pie celebrates with yet more pies but Rainbow Dash hands them out to a group of nearby fillies. Still angry and now tired, Pinkie Pie returns with another pie. This time,  Rainbow Dash stalls with the indecision on taking one bite size over another. Eventually Pinkie Pie can't stay awake any longer and shuts her eyes, allowing Rainbow Dash to once again get rid of the pie by the time Pinkie Pie is awake again. Pinkie Pie has all the proof she needs that Rainbow Dash has never liked her pies. Further proof comes from above, which only adds insult to injury for Pinkie Pie as it's the one pie Rainbow Dash hooked up to a crane to make it disappear. Try as she might, Rainbow Dash can't form a good enough excuse for why she's not eating the pies. Pinkie Pie storms off, having not gotten anything worthwhile out of Rainbow Dash at all. Rainbow Dash discusses the matter with Applejack and Twilight, whom are not amused about the lies either and wonder if there's more likes not yet revealed to them. Rainbow Dash only lied so that Pinkie Pie would feel better but ended up doing the same thing that would've happened had she been honest. It soon becomes clear what Rainbow Dash can do to make it up to her. Meanwhile, Pinkie Pie picks up a rather stinky odor and feels Gummy might be the culprite. Instead, it's from Rainbow Dash, whom not only apologizes for her actions but has a pie to eat as an additional reason to be sorry. Just when Rainbow Dash is about to dig in, Pinkie Pie stops her, having realized why Rainbow Dash had lied to her. It was all to have Rainbow Dash make Pinkie Pie happy by going great lengths to get rid of the pies. Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash are happy again and cheerfully hug, which proves to be too tight for Rainbow Dash but Pinkie Pie is quick to say otherwise.
