Episode 147	Rock Solid Friendship	Aired: April 29 2017
We find a rather empty ceremony is taking place as Maud Pie is graduating in Rock-tology. Unfortunately, only Pinkie Pie and their parents are thrilled as everyone else doesn't seem to be interested. Maud makes a 10 second speech (and only because Pinkie Pie interrupted before taking her rocky diploma. On the train back to Ponyville, Pinkie Pie is so excited she screams loudly enough to hurt everyone elses' ears. However, Maud notes the slight inaccuracy with Pinkie Pie's claim as she's also considering Ghastly Gorge, which Pinkie Pie doesn't take seriously. Unfortunately, it's no joke but because of how different the two locations are, Maud is giving Ponyville a chance. Pinkie Pie takes Maud into a gem-filled cave where Spike and Rarity are collecting gems for another occasion. All they need is a rare gem but Maud proves it's easier to find than they think. In fact, every gem inside the cave is more common than they previously thought. As a result, Pinkie Pie fakes her actual decision to bring Maud inside and shows her Spike instead. To make up for it, Pinkie Pie blindfolds Maud and takes her outside to show her Twilight's castle. Like the cave, the castle's materials doesn't impress Maud as it's another common material. Desperate to impress Maud, Pinkie Pie shows her all kinds of "rocks" that Maud knows are other things entirely. Feeling defeated, Pinkie Pie figures it's the end of Maud being in Ponyville but Maud also wanted a friend to talk to and chose Ponyville for that as well. The only problem is finding a pony that gets who Maud is. In fact, Pinkie Pie anticipates someone to run out the castle's front doors and become Maud's friend shortly. After a bit of waiting, Starlight races out and plows right into Maud, scattering books everywhere. Additionally, Starlight finds Maud to be a familiar face but has no memory of where or why. As it turns out, Starlight was only pretending but Maud reveals the truth about their previous encounter where Maud contributed to Starlight Glimmer's eventual anti-cutie mark rampage. It's all the reason for Pinkie Pie to ensure Maud tells no one so she makes Maud agree to it despite Starlight not having done it to anyone lately. Starlight heads off to continue her original intended tasks but Pinkie Pie gets Maud to help out (which leads me to believe they were intending on this sort of situation ever since Maud arrived). Inside Ponyville, Starlight's awkward experience with Maud begins as Maud notes how easy it would be to enslave all of Equestria with a simple rock.  Starlight changes the subject with her interest in kites (which seems more as though she's faking it) but Pinkie Pie appears from behind, fearing the worst. With that, the duo go fly kites and Starlight shares her kite lingo as she gets one into the air and Maud admits kites are growing on her. Pinkie Pie appears, claiming to have a pizza to deliver and throws it at Derpy before asking about their friendship. Maud and Starlight aren't interested and walk away while Pinkie Pie is in the moment. By the time Pinkie Pie stops, Maud and Starlight are several feet away and return to the cave. Once inside, Starlight asks what Maud finds so interesting about rocks and learns it's about their past. In fact, Maud can tell a rock's age by a simple line. Additionally, rocks do not judge anyone by how they look, which has Starlight thinking she may be getting into rocks as well. Starlight finds a rather hollow wall and learns that it's hollow granite. Maud quickly smashes the granite, revealing a new landscape with a waterfall. Unfortunately Pinkie Pie is up in their business once more and takes a photo of them together. When that doesn't make Maud and Starlight feel better, Pinkie Pie fakes an accident where she trips onto a detonator and leaves them trapped. However, Maud uses Boulder to get them out with a simple throw, causing the ceiling to collapse. They get out but Pinkie Pie is right there with giant cow bells to ensure they don't get lost again and invites them to her brunch tomorrow. As usual, Maud and Starlight aren't interested and decline the offer before Starlight secretly removes the bells, leaving Maud to somewhat smile. That night, Pinkie Pie is still excited about their future plans but Maud isn't as thrilled as she's tucked into bed. Finally, Pinkie Pie goes to bed but when daylight emerges, her excitement returns until she finds a note from Maud that mentions her choice of Ghastly Gorge. Pinkie Pie races to catch up to Maud but the train has already left the platform, leaving Pinkie Pie to wake Starlight from her sleep.  Starlight admits their friendship was going rather well but in trying to explain where Pinkie Pie went wrong, Starlight makes things worse and Pinkie Pie darts off in tears. At Ghastly Gorge, Maud is hard at work collecting samples when one of them escapes in the strong wind. The sample leads her to a rare find but also to the mouth of an eel just above her. Pinkie Pie takes the next train over and finds Maud's trail, only to find Maud inside the eel's mouth, seemingly unaware of the danger. Pinkie Pie forces the eel's mouth open and gets Maud out but is forced to escape with her to avoid its wrath. Maud was having fun already and made a new rock friend but the eel's attack sends Pinkie Pie over the edge, leaving Maud to hang on a rock's edge. Maud has no intention of returning to Ponyville, which has Pinkie Pie in shock as she thought she knew everything but didn't know her own sister. However, they weren't in any real danger as the cliff they were on was only a foot or so off the ground and Maud leads Pinkie Pie to safety. The duo make amends and Pinkie Pie requests to give Ponyville and herself another chance. After consulting Boulder, Maud agrees and goes to fly a kite with Starlight, whom is surprised at her return. Afterwards, the duo head to Maud's new home where Pinkie Pie awaits and is reminded of their agreement before eventually going away.
