Episode 101 Princess Spike Aired:
June 20 2015
At Canterlot Castle, ponies gather before Luna and Celestia announce the beginning of their Grand Annual Equestria Pony Summit, where Celestia makes a speech and tops it off with the unveiling of a statue made from gemstones, giving Spike an appetite. Since Twilight made the event possible, she gives a speech too before letting Spike have his say. However, no one gives Spike any love until they arrive back home where Cadence needs Spike's help.
The reason in question walks into the room and parks on the pile of books after a three-day string of work. All Spike needs to do is ensure that Twilight is not disturbed and Spike assures he'll be successful. While Twilight sleeps, Spike keeps watch and things seem to be as quiet as necessary but a bird is too loud for him to ignore and he kindly helps the bird fly out of range. However, things get worse when ponies playing and watching a game in progress break the silence.

Spike tries to get them to move the game but before he can finish, another pony tree trimming draws his attention and he takes the matter into his claws. Unfortunately, the trees in question are Dragon Sneeze trees, making Spike allergic but the trees must be removed as they're too top-heavy. Luckily, Spike gets the tree trimmer to hold off for a few hours upon mentioning Princess Twilight. A louder noise interrupts him and we see it's a different pony working a jackhammer to eventually fix a broken water main.
The pony insists they can't have a broken water main but Spike notes that the summit cannot happen without Princess Twilight, whom needs her rest and the pony backs off but warns that he isn't to blame for any consequences resulting from this. At last, things are quiet and Spike heads up to the castle doors but two other ponies from Manehattan need Princess Twilight's decision on a matter of their own. Spike tries to get Twilight's advice but she's still sleep-deprived and only ends up saying nonsense to Spike's question.
Left with no other option, Spike decides for Twilight and the duo walk away, feeling calmer. Spike decides to have a gem-filled snack before a line of angry ponies greets him and he's forced to once again give advice on Twilight's behalf. Eventually only Fancy Pants remains and Spike takes care of the matter as well. As a bonus, Spike finds Twilight's long checklist and decides to try and check off things so that Twilight has less to worry about when she wakes up.
After taking care of another two ponies, Cadence arrives and isn't so certain Spike has things under control and flies off hoping that Spike is indeed true to his word. Spike has gotten carried away and ends up getting spa treatments, food and painting before Cadence appears again and is suspicious about Spike's abuse of Twilight's relationship with him. Cadence remains suspicious even after Spike tries to convince her of his good but the ponies from the (croquet?) game hit their ball into a Dragon Sneeze Tree, causing a chain reaction.
The result bursts the water main and floods the castle so while Cadence shuts off the water, Spike has to clear the remaining water away. Fancy Pants gets a direct hit with the water trapped behind the doors but the gem statue has survived. Spike's allergies return as multiple Dragon Sneeze trees lay before him and he destroys the statue in a single sneeze. The line of ponies reappears to see the mess and struggles to work out what happened.
Spike tries to explain but the ponies are in no mood and race to Princess Twilight's room for answers. Spike beats them to it and manages to get inside just before Twilight feels rested enough to get to work. Perhaps Spike did a good job after all but cannot stop the mob from getting in and demanding answers. When Twilight doesn't understand, she turns to Spike, whom finally admits to the deeds of the day that he's done. Since a princess must also admit when they were wrong, Spike takes center stage to apologize.
Afterwards, he tries to rebuild the statue and everyone else helps reassemble it. They all forgive Spike and give him a bouquet of Dragon Sneeze flowers but the credits roll before his sneeze can do damage.
