Episode 3	The Ticket Master	Aired: October 29 2010
Somewhere in Ponyville, (probably on Applejack's farm or on the way there) Twilight agrees to help Applejack out while Spike is busy digging through the apples and finds one that Twilight finds delicious, especially since she's hungry but Spike eats it instead, then belches out a letter from Celestia, announcing the Grand Galloping Gala to be held in Canterlot on the 21st day of a month (which Spike isn't interested in telling us about) and Twilight is allowed to come with one friend.  While Twilight and Applejack jump for joy, Spike detests the idea, then belches out the two tickets for the Gala. Neither Spike, nor Twilight have been to the Gala and Spike plans to keep it that way for himself, though he seems to know about it yet Twilight says a dance would be fun. Applejack contemplates what he could do if she opened up an apple stand and made money. Before Twilight can complete her offer with the other ticket to Applejack, Rainbow Dash literally drops in, asking if they're talking about the Galloping Gala. What was RD doing after telling Applejack that she'd be too busy to harvest apples? Napping and she just happened to overhear. Now it's her turn to imagine what it'd be like at the Gala. Applejack and RD quarrel over who gets the ticket, then decide to play a ponified version of arm wrestling with Twilight breaking it up, saying that they're her tickets and she'll decide who gets the other one. While both Applejack and RD both give good reasons for them to be the other friend to go to the Gala, Twilight decides to think about it over lunch as she's still hungry so RD and AJ return to their arm/hoof wrestling. Twilight ponders where to eat but Pinkie Pie bolts out the swinging doors, saying, like the others, that she's always wanted to go and visions what she'd do, partially in song. She assumes that Twilight is taking her when Rarity overhears and repeats the "if I went to the Gala" cycle. Twilight says she hasn't picked the pony yet but Angel, Fluttershy's pet bunny, swipes them and shows them to Fluttershy, whom isn't really about going to the Gala as much as the flowers in the den on the night of the Gala as well as the animals there. RD shows up, then Applejack, whom was watching RD for funny business, and then Twilight gets caught up in a quarrel with her friends and she has to shout to get them to stop. She orders them away, much to their disappointment, and figures that somehow she'll figure it out. Finally she gets to a restaurant and something to eat but before she can take a bite, the waiter asks if she wants to eat in the rain but it's raining around her as Rainbow Dash made a hole in the clouds so Twilight could eat but Twilight wants the cloud hole filled and gets soaked so Rarity brings her inside and is soaked as well due to Twilight shaking the water off of herself. Since Rarity claims that best friends give makeovers, she gives Twilight one, much to Spike's disgust but he gets one too so he runs off. Twilight catches on to Rarity's plan but when Applejack hears that Twilight wants food, she pulls Twilight out but Twilight declines the food offer. Back at home, Fluttershy is also in on the act of getting Twilight to take her to the Gala so Twilight attempts to leave but runs into Pinkie Pie's 2nd attempt at getting the ticket and many others who want the ticket as well when they hear that Twilight has a 2nd ticket. Twilight decides to run away using various disguises but is backed into a corner and teleports home. Spike wants to be warned the next time it happens but Twilight didn't expect it to occur. She finds her friends at home, whom apologize and Twilight returns the tickets  with a letter to Celestia, whom responds with 6 tickets so they can all go together, all but Spike, whom is now disappointed that he can't go until he gets another letter with a ticket for him. When he passes Applejack, he acts like doesn't want to go, then speeds off.
