Bugs were everywhere when I grew up. Outside or in, I had to put up with several flying around and there was much difficulty getting any sleep or eating. My parents tried everything to get rid of them but they only proved to be dangerous for both us and the bugs. Since then, I've done my best to keep the bugs off and luckily there aren't as many now as there were when I was younger. My parents think it was an overpopulation due to some very warm weather. The bugs had time to reproduce and multiplied fast. Even moving to Pudgyville hasn't taken that sense of dread but that's why I've hated bugs. My weight gain only happened after moving to Pudgyville as only then could I finally have decent meals and I had big ones. Pudgyville seems to be just about free of bugs, which is very good for all of us.
