Cactus Cathy's Belly Beginnings
I grew up being around cacti given that my hometown  is Death Valley. My parents were the one to decide to live there since to them it seemed like a cute and retro place to live in. Of course, they didn't know about the extreme heat and lack of rain. All the shops in town had books relating to the desert, which is handy since you live there and may not know. I found a book titled "Cacti and the World They Live In" and wanted to have a look. Once I found out that not only cacti thrive on this type of weather but saguaro cacti can live over 150 years old, I was hooked. Since then, I've loved being around cacti and even got a tiny one for myself. I even got my sister started but as for my weight, I just couldn't get enough cactus-related food. I ate enough each meal to equal about half a regular-sized cactus. Contrary to what you might think, I can't live on very little water like the cacti I love can and I don't make flowers on my head either. When I moved to Pudgyville, not everyone was entirely thrilled on my love of cacti but have welcomed me as one of their own nonetheless.
